The story

“The world I grew up in felt small.
My dreams didn’t.”

Javier Salazar grew up in a low-middle-class family in Mexico City, with big dreams but few examples of what might be possible.

Since then, he has built businesses, moved countries, raised a family, explored incredible places and accumulated experiences he never could have imagined when he was younger.

Looking back, what makes that life feel incredible isn’t simply the accomplishments. It’s the experiences, from once-in-a-lifetime adventures to surprisingly ordinary moments with people he loves.

Making room for more of those moments, and noticing them when they happen, became the idea behind An Awesome Year.
